Arasaka Academy Best Origins: Tier List For All 4

Arasaka Academy gives you four Origins at creation, and all four are currently equal: each hands you a different starting contact and nothing more. Corpo gives Institutional Access, Street Kid City Contacts, Nomad Outskirts Network, Gang Criminal Contacts. No Origin has been shown to change your stats, so pick the roleplay you want.

The four Origins and what each one gives you

This table is the whole of what is publicly known. Pro Game Guides reported the contact mapping on October 3, 2026, and no tested source has since contradicted it.

Origin Starting contact reported Best for
Corpo Institutional Access Players who want to roleplay a corpo ladder climber
Street Kid City Contacts Players who want the scrappy Night City survivor fantasy
Nomad Outskirts Network Players who want the drifter coming in from outside the city
Gang Criminal Contacts Players who want to start on the wrong side of the law

Every Origin lands you in the same Night City school setting. The difference is the contact you begin with, not the city you play in.

There is no tested best Origin

Nothing published so far shows starting-stat differences, faster progression or exclusive zones for any of the four. If a page claims one Origin is strictly stronger, ask what test produced that number. The honest answer right now is that the ranking does not exist.

Official source: Arasaka Academy on Roblox — the experience description confirms Origin selection happens at character creation.

What tier means here

Tier lists usually rank things by measurable output. Damage per hit, survival time, unlock speed. Arasaka Academy does not expose any of those numbers for Origins, so a traditional S to D ranking would be invented the moment you published it.

The only defensible ranking is by the type of access each Origin opens:

Tier 1, widest social reach covers Corpo and Street Kid. Both hand you contacts inside the city itself, and for most players starting in a Night City school RPG, in-city access is where the early momentum sits.

Tier 1, outsider access covers Nomad. The Outskirts Network is a different angle rather than a weaker one. If the game ever differentiates these branches properly, an outside-the-city start is often the more interesting playthrough.

Tier 1, hostile access covers Gang. Criminal Contacts are the most distinct route of the four and the most likely to diverge from the others in future updates.

That produces all four in the same tier, which is the accurate answer rather than a disappointing one.

Best pick if you want to fight early

Gang and Corpo are the two most likely to matter in combat, and honestly neither has been proven.

The reason to lean Corpo is that the game's combat identity is cyberware and hacking rather than pure melee, and Institutional Access reads as the contact most aligned with that identity. The reason to lean Gang is that Criminal Contacts is the most narratively distinct start, and distinct starts tend to be where a developer puts the interesting early content.

Neither argument is backed by a measured value. Treat it as a tie.

Pick Corpo if you cannot decide

If the choice is genuinely paralyzing you, Corpo is the safest middle: institutional access suits a cyberware-focused game, and it is the least likely to lock you into a roleplay you have to talk your way out of.

Best pick if you want to roll cyberware

None of the four has any reported effect on Rerolls or on what cyberware you can roll.

Rerolls are bought with codes, not granted by Origin, and the 575 currently available are account-wide. Every Origin starts with the same access to the same roll pool, so the Origin you like will not slow you down or speed you up.

Where your build actually comes from is documented properly in the beginners guide: lock the fighting style first, chase cyberware second, and spend appearance rolls last.

What we cannot tell you yet

Being straight about the gaps is more useful than padding this page out.

Starting stats. No source has published a stat block for any Origin.

Whether the choice is reversible. Nothing shows a way to reroll or switch Origin after creation. Assume it is permanent.

What the contacts actually do. Institutional Access, City Contacts, Outskirts Network and Criminal Contacts are labels at launch. No questline or reward has been tied to any of them in public.

The developer keeps a public Trello board and an official Discord, and either one is where a rebalance that makes this page necessary would land first.

Read the screen, not the guide

Whatever any list says, your own creation screen is the authority. Read the four descriptions it shows and see whether they mention a consequence or a way to change the selection. If they differ from what you read here, trust the game.

FAQ

What are the four Arasaka Academy Origins?

Corpo, Street Kid, Nomad and Gang. They were described by Pro Game Guides on October 3, 2026, and both Pro Game Guides and Pocket Codes list the same four.

Which Origin is best in Arasaka Academy?

None is measurably better. Each Origin gives a different starting contact, and no published source shows any of them changing stats, progression speed or zone access. Pick the fantasy you want.

Does an Origin affect cyberware or rerolls?

Not according to anything published. Rerolls come from codes and are account-wide, so all four Origins start with the same roll pool.

Can I change my Origin after creating my character?

No way to do so has been published. Treat the choice as permanent and read the on-screen descriptions before you confirm.

What does Institutional Access give you?

That is the reported starting contact for Corpo. No quest, item or reward has been publicly tied to it yet, so treat the label as flavour until the game says otherwise.
